Traversing three districts, Bundelkhand Gaurav Mahotsav has reached Hamirpur on Sunday.

On February 5 and 6, a special convergence of yoga, meditation, knowledge, and entertainment will take place in Hamirpur. The cultural programmes to be organised on the occasion here include hot-air balloon, yoga, heritage walk, various competitions, water sports, tethered flights, and Prabhat Pheri.

On the first day, yoga and other activities will be organised at the Kalpavriksha Complex from 7.30 am to 8.30 am, visitors will be able to enjoy hot air balloon ride at the Sports Stadium from 7.30 am to 9.30 am. Visitors will explore Shaileshwar Temple, Sarila Fort, and Kalika Temple during the heritage walk from 09.30 am to 10.30 am.

Besides, kite flying, painting, rangoli, and mehndi competition will be organised at Yamuna Betwa Sangam from 11 am to 2 pm. At the same time, a procession, cultural program, felicitation ceremony and lighting of lamps will take place in the martyrs’ village.

Sports competitions in the stadium will be organised between 11 am to 4 pm. However, water sports from Yamuna Setu to Kalpavriksh will be organised from 11 am to around 2.30 pm while regional cultural programmes will be showcased in the parade ground between 4 pm to 6 pm. Tethered flights will be organised for the visitors at the sports stadium from 5.30 to 7.30 pm. At the Parade Ground, from 6:00 pm to 10:00 pm, there will be folk dance performances by local artists and performances by Sudhir Yaduvanshi of Delhi.

On the second day of the Mahotsav, all the activities will be organised at the same destinations at the same time. Whereas, during the heritage walk visitors will get to witness Sangameshwar Temple, Rani Lakshmi Bai Park, Yamuna Embankment, Atal Path, Kalpavriksh and other places from 09.30 am to 10.30 am. Whereas, during the evening local artists will showcase their folk dance skills alongside the Rooh band.

Bundelkhand Gaurav Mahotsav took off from Jhansi on January 23. It was further organised in Devgarh- Lalitpur on 28-29 January and in Jalaun on 1-2 February. The mahotsav will continue in various cities, including Mahoba, Chitrakoot, and Kalinjar Banda. Each destination promises its unique charm, featuring historical sites, traditional art forms, and delectable cuisine. The festival serves as a platform for local artisans, craftsmen, and artists to showcase their talents and contribute to the cultural heritage of Bundelkhand.

Tourism and Culture Minister Jaiveer Singh said Bundelkhand Gaurav Mahotsav would boost tourism and will also generate employment at the local level. There are immense possibilities of tourism in Bundelkhand. We are trying to bring it to the ground.
